Just Like Home Early Learning Center

Just Like Home Early Learning Center is a family-owned business that was opened in November of 2011. Our goal is to offer valuable care that national chain centers can not match. We staff the rooms in 10-hour days so that children experience consistency throughout the day, and parents can talk to a teacher that is with their child all day long. Our Lead teachers work four days a week with an Alternate Lead teacher who fills in on their off day. This provides a consistency that we know our parents appreciate, so they drop off and pick up with the same teacher who has been with their child all day long. Each classroom also has an assistant teacher who is assigned to that room every day of the week further cementing that continuity.

We offer parents access to view our rooms via webcam at any time, something other centers don’t do for their own reasons. We do not fear the additional oversight and scrutiny, we welcome it. Our center operates at below state ratios. We believe that by running lower ratios, the children receive more one-on-one time with their teachers and provides more stability and structure to the children. We are committed to our low ratios and our high standards, and we prove it.

Just as our name suggests, we have put a lot of effort into making our center feel just like home by combining the important aspects of home life with the benefits that a center can provide. We provide family-style dining along with socialization and learning from well trained staff.

There is always something fun to look forward to at Just Like Home Early Learning Center. We host many fun-filled family activities throughout the year.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to allow teachers to plan developmentally appropriate, enriching and engaging activities for children.

Social Education

Our teachers provide the children with age-appropriate social/emotional skills needed to aid in their learning.

Games & Activities

Physical activity is an extremely important part of child development, which is why we have created both outdoor and indoor play spaces that allow children to learn through explorational imaginative play.

Innovative Methods

We utilize Procare Engagement App to communicate with parents throughout the day, live stream cameras in each classroom, and have controlled access to the center with the use of thumbprint scanners to permit access to enter.

Weekly Lessons

Our teachers post weekly lesson plans that follow along with the curriculum and allow parents to be involved in their child’s education

Kindergarten Prep

Pre – K students attend a Kindergarten readiness class to help cement the skills needed for school.

  • I cannot brag about this place enough!! JLHELC has been a huge BLESSING to our family since we moved our daughter to this amazing place! She is sooo HAPPY, loves going to school now! The staff is very WELCOMING, it's SAFE, and a CLEAN place! The playground is WONDERFUL! The teachers are always very NICE and HELPFUL, and they LISTEN! We are so GREATFUL for this place and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND sending your child! Every week they have a new/themed learning plan to make it FUN for the children! Better Beginnings Accredited

Our center has been rated a Level 3 Star Better Beginnings facility. Better Beginnings provides curriculum based on early learning and development guidelines: math, science and literacy. Children in our center learn these concepts gradually through play and experience.
